As much as I love wearing colour (pink in particular), some days I give in to my desire for wearing all black. I didn't do much, mostly a bit of tidying around the house and sorting out some things for ebay. I really love the look of a simple polo because it can be worn casual or made a little fancier by pairing it with a high-waisted skirt for a more "rockabilly" look. This time though, I chose to brighten it up the tiniest bit by wearing a nice leopard print hair tie, and of course, pink lipstick!
This lipstick is one of my favourites. It's not only cheap, but the texture is so creamy and the colour pay off is great!
Onto instagram snaps...
be still my beating heart // obsessed with oranges lately // after the gym // new tyres for the pink & purple bike my boyfriend is building me.
Just a rather casual outfit I wore the other day around the house and then for a walk to work. I love the sleeves on this top, they make it so comfortable to wear. You could definitely go out and consume lots of junk food without worrying about the sight of your food baby.
Some other details below. The stone in the ring is actually iridescent and it looks so pretty in real life. And these are the comfiest shoes I've ever owned, I love them! May go back and buy them in the cream colour too if they're still available.
Lipstick: Rimmel colour show off "020 shake-up pink"
Here's a little outfit from the other day. To be honest, I don't take many of these kind of photos anymore because I've grown tired of my camera and long for a new one. I've used my Canon 400d for about 5 years now, think I may cheat on it soon with a Nikon dslr. I really like this floral bodysuit, though unless I was wearing it on a night out, I feel a vest underneath is very necessary :)
I've been spending most of the time in my bedroom discovering new music and watching movies. I'm trying to work my way through my ever-growing dvd collection because I haven't even seen half of them. But then I download movies. And I watch them instead. And I'm back where I started. I've also began reading a new book, In The Miso Soup by Ryu Murakami. My boyfriend bought it for my christmas or birthday a couple of years ago so I'm finally getting around to enjoying it :)
Just a few new bits I purchased over the past fortnight. I was looking for a different foundation to try as my others had run out, and the Rimmel Wake Me Up one had quite a few good reviews. I got it in the shade "200 Soft Beige" and it's actually quite a lovely natural shade for me. So far I really like it, and the light glitter particles within it are pretty.
Okay, I'm in LOVE with the TRESemme Split Remedy leave in treatment. I've used it a few times now and I seriously think it's made a great difference to the ends of my hair. It feels a lot softer and my split ends are less visible.
Also got Maybelline Falsies mascara and a Revlon lip butter in the shade "045 Cotton Candy". Plus look at how cute my new phone cover is! Was surprised to see such a pretty thing in Asda, I love it.
Last week I went to Dundee to hang out with my friend, and we visited The Pancake Place which has the best pancakes everrrrr. Salivating right now.
Other than my trip, I've been busy housesitting with my boyfriend and locking myself away with music and movies, so I don't have much to post about. I'll just leave some recent instagram photos below :)
These tops are all so comfy to wear. The skull print one is just a basic vest, the cross print one has large loophole arms which means it's perfect for layering a little bandeau underneath, and then the leopard print one is slightly cropped with longer sleeves. All were reduced from £28 to £14, then I also got 10% student discount.
Jeggings & pattern leggings: River Island
Again, these are super comfy! I love the acid wash pattern on the jeggings, doesn't look too boring when paired with a plain vest or t-shirt. And I love the bright mix of colours on these leggings, so summery. Think the first pair were £32, and the second pair were £20.
I also popped into Boots to have a browse of the Soap & Glory make-up collection. They have some lovely looking products and I couldn't resist buying one of their seriously GORGEOUS smelling lipbalms. This one is called Juicy Peach. It's quite sheer but looks great on it's own or over a pink lipstick. I've always been into wearing my boyfriend's Lynx bodysprays as they smell so good so I was intrigued by the new scent for females. It's very fruity and similar to certain Impulse sprays, I love it.
Striped top & studded hair bows: New Look
Rabbit nightlamp: Urban Outfitters
The rabbit lamp is so cute, I'm in love. It's a lot brighter than I expected it to be for such a little thing. I've always wanted one of these and it only cost me £8.
Earrings: George @ Asda (I wear these soooo much, probably can't see clearly but they're heart shaped)
Thought I'd add a little song to my posts from now on. I have a varied taste but hopefully you will enjoy some of them. Let me know if you have a Soundcloud or Mixcloud profile, I love finding new music to obsess over :)
