More florals, sorry. But I just really loved how the red looked against the burgundy shade of the cardigan. Not to mention it all goes with my hair colour :) I've been pulling out some long lost items of clothing (including this dress) as I'm preparing to do a car boot sale within the next couple of weeks. I've truly purged my clothing drawers, and the wardrobe is next. I do love car boot sales but I just hope there won't be too many people who pretty much want something for nothing, grr! The other bad thing is it means I don't get to have a browse myself as I'll be so busy, oh well.
Have you ever picked up anything amazing at a car boot?
Just a quick outfit post from me today as I'm off to work in a minute. Whenever I dig this playsuit out it reminds me of how much I love Forever 21 and really, really makes me want to take a trip through to Glasgow for a visit (damn Edinburgh for not having a store here). I've found that a few of my floral/patterned items don't quite look right now with my red hair, but this isn't one of them.
I hope you all have a nice Thursday, I know I'm just looking forward to the clock hitting midnight because it's finally pay day and I can treat myself to some things (it's been tooooo long)!
For my base I really can't get enough of the Stay Time 25 hour foundation by Seventeen, I use the shade Soft Ivory. This foundation creates such a flawless look but I don't find that it feels heavy on my face at all. It also lasts really well (not that I've tested it's 25 hour claim...). I use the same line of concealer too, in the shade Extra Fair. Both are perfect together and such good prices! For my powder I love Rimmel Stay Matte in Transparent which of course everyone seems to love. My blush is a cream one from Topshop in the shade Neon Rose, though I really need to buy a new one. I don't remember why I ever bought this Rimmel Match perfection because it's quite clearly too dark for me! But I find it works well as a nice contour - it's in the shade Classic Beige.
My lips have been a little dry lately so I've been using quite a lot of the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream on them. Two favourite lip shades I keep reaching for at the moment are the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Pencil in the shade Eastend Snob - yes I know it's just a lip liner but I absolutely love the shade! Also since it's autumn now I feel darker lips don't look so out there, I love this Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 107. For both products I like to use some Carmex lip balm underneath.
For curling my lashes I use these curlers by the brand Emite, which I received in a Glossybox ages ago. Same goes for this pretty highligher in the shade Cashmere, it's so lovely.
When I decide not to use up all of my favourite copper shade in the Naked 2 palette, I like to use a few shades from this MUA Ever After palette. My favourites at the moment are Unwrap, Penny and Truffle. I always line my waterline with the Nyx Milk jumbo pencil. For my eyebrows I've been using the remains of my Mac Wedge eyeshadow and using the pen end of the Archery pencil from Soap & Glory (I use the shade Brownie Points). My eyeliner of choice is the Eyeko skinny liquid pen, and for mascaras (I always layer two) I've been using Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless and Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam.
Hi all! I'm finally posting another outfit (I promise there's more to come very soon) as this is what I mainly started my blog for and I feel like I barely do them anymore. You might also notice (if you're very observant haha) that I've changed my blog layout. It's nothing crazy, I like simplistic, chic themes and I couldn't be happier with the one I've chosen. I still have a few bits to tweak but it's pretty much done. What do you think?
As for this outfit, I'll admit, wearing this hat is a little out of my comfort zone. I picked it up in the New Look sale months ago because I'd always wanted one and thought why not as it was cheap. Not entirely sure it suits me...hmm. Either way, I thought it went well with this outfit. I love the burgundy cardigan with this shade of the Jamie jeans - the best jeans ever! And the brown bag is something I've had since way back in my college/uni days (so...6/7 years old) but I've recently rediscovered it.
Hi guys! I thought I'd share this adorable monthly subscription box with you all. When I first stumbled across the company, Lucky Dip Club on instagram I didn't realise it was the same person who used to run Lady Luck Rules OK which was a favourite of mine!
Lucky Dip Club sends out a different themed box each month with lots of cute crafty/jewellery pieces (one being personalised). For £15 (including postage) a month, it really is a sweet little bargain :) You have to be fast though as they sell out the same day they are released. You can cancel your subscription any time, and products from previous boxes (as well as lots of other cute things) are available in the shop.
For September's box, the theme was Magic Forest. The list featured above tells you everything that was in it, I'm so in love with the little Bambi and owl brooch! Also, can't wait to try and make the fox sleep mask...it's been a loooong time since I've done anything crafty like this, fingers crossed!
Would you or have you subscribed to Lucky Dip Club? xo
First off, my hair isn't as crazy red as it looks here. But the damn skylight made everything brighter and when I tried to edit it I just made my skin look even paler haha. Anyway, I've mostly been throwing on comfortable outfits lately as I've been busy working more so when I have left the house I've not been putting much thought into my choices. Though I did know I'd be obsessed with this super pale pink jumper. These shoes also probably don't even go with the skirt but oh well ^_^
I'm enjoying having red hair as it means I can go through all my clothes with a fresh approach and decide which things I still want to keep. Saving that proper browse for a rainy day though I guess. Think I'm just gonna end up wearing more black because it creates such a nice contrast and who doesn't love black everything?
Today I've had a driving lesson and now I'm off to walk a cutie pie dog. It feels so good to be back driving and also to be right back at the level I was at 2 years ago after only 4 lessons! I still have to redo my theory test (major booo) but then I'll soon be able to get my actual test done which puts the absolute fear into me.
What have you done/are you doing with your day? xo
Last Thursday I went through to Glasgow for the night (and following afternoon) for a friend's birthday. I feel like it's the only exciting thing I've done lately (busy planning things for my dog walking business) so may as well do a blog post about it!
My outfit of the night was a little black top from H&M and my high-waisted tartan pencil skirt from Topshop - paired with some heeled boots of course. Oh, there were two other girls with us but they didn't want any photos that night :P
We danced for hours in a gay club called Polo, it was so much fun because the music was classic 90s pop - we requested Dr Jones by Aqua and they played it, plus they played Under The Sea from The Little Mermaid haha! Once it closed we headed to the casino for too many bowls of onion rings and chips - classy.
The next day we took a walk to a vegan restaurant called Stereo. It was really nice inside, kind of reminded me of places I visited in London with it's rustic appearance. Unfortunately I didn't like my soup very much, it was too spicy for me >.< Probably would have been fine for most people just not me haha! I will say their bread was delicious though.
Afterwards we took the tube to a different part of Glasgow and visited the cutest little tea house, Tchai-Ovna. It was like being in someone's living room and they had the biggest selection of teas I've ever seen - you'd probably be there for a year trying them all.
I went for caramel tea which was really delicious with some brown sugar added. Though the teapot was the size of my head, I didn't manage to finish it! But then maybe it's cause the actual cups to drink from were like cute little doll ones.
Hope you enjoyed this post and are are having a lovely Friday :) xo
Afternoon sweeties, this is the second last outfit post I have which features my dark hair...if you follow me on instagram you'll know I'm now a redhead! It feels so weird because whenever I catch my reflection I forget it's me for a split second haha.
This is probably one of my favourite quick throw-on outfits lately, though the skirt is a darker shade in real life just incase you go looking for it in Primark. Still, I love the autumnal feel this outfit gives. I seriously can't stop wearing these leopard print flats though, think they're one of my favourite cheap buys this year. And sometimes I'm brave enough to wear my Forever 21 glasses outside, I do love them.
Last night I went to see the movie Let's Be Cops, and found it hilarious if you're after some classic laughs. Though it might be due to my love for Happy Endings and New Girl, as both the main actors are from those shows, I can't get enough!
What have you done so far/what are your plans this weekend? xo
