Hi guys, sorry I took a little break from blogging. I guess we all need one now and again. I've been preoccupied with other things, like searching for a new job and prepping my room for the arrival of my baby ratties - yes I'm finally getting them! No words for how excited I am :)

I still seem to be favouring simplistic outfits with blocks of colour over anything else at the moment. This top is in one of the colours I love the most and fits so snugly. I treated myself to a pair of the Joni jeans after falling in love with them in the changing room. They're perfectly high-waisted, I kind of want every colour.

I always forget how much I enjoy the simplicity of cucumber sandwiches. And that's yet another raspberry, banana & blueberry smoothie.

Bought myself a little piece of nostalgia, I collected so many of these when I was younger. This one looks so adorable in my room and the sweets taste just as good as I remember.

Better photos of my chocolate cupcakes. These didn't last very long in my house, so soft and yummy. Finding the perfect vanilla cupcake recipe is next on my list.

Took a trip to Ikea as my wish list for there was getting pretty long. Couldn't resist a visit to their cafe (can anyone?) for some chips, cake and tea. We also had veggie hotdogs after, oops.

Already loving my new bowl, it inspires me to have healthier breakfasts for some reason. Treated myself to this Hummingbird Bakery book and everything inside looks just wonderful.

Won't lie, I ate this in one sitting. It's kind of impossible not to, mmm. I tried out my first recipe from Hummingbird and made cornflake cookies. Our oven makes cooking uneven so things are never perfect but the flavour was so good.

Been enjoying many of these smoothies - raspberry, banana & blueberry. Have also made the switch to soya milk/yoghurt. Had a late night craving for a veggie burger so my boyfriend and I ordered this for our evening of Breaking Bad.

Went through to Glasgow on Friday with my sister. We shopped for so long, nearly collapsed, rewarded ourselves with Pizza Hut. I'm in love with this Lush conditioner already.

Bought a few things in boots, the Barry M colours are amazing. Wearing Greenberry which just so happens to match my lovely new deer cushion.

Baked some chocolate cupcakes with pink frosting, pretty happy with the swirls and they taste so good.

New in | Forever 21, H&M, Primark, Lush.

Last Friday I went to Glasgow with my sister. We hadn't been for ages and also Forever 21 had opened recently so we were pretty excited. I couldn't get over how big and beautiful the store was. And how much STUFF, my god. I hadn't treated myself to new things for quite a while so I did go a little crazy...

Forever 21

I finally got the cat make-up bag! Whilst the pink one was cute, I actually preferred this black one. I also fell in love with these two headbands, I think they have a sweet, retro feel to them. It was hard not to buy more than this as the selection was so huge, but at least I know these three clothing pieces are things I will get a lot of wear out of. The striped jumper is really comfortable to just throw on with a high-waisted skirt or some jeggings. The shorts were available in other colours but I've always wanted a cute pair of red ones and these only cost me £11 something. Plus the belt has little silver hearts going along it, so cute. The t-shirt is one of the most perfect and simplistic pieces in my wardrobe now, I love to wear it with jeans and converse.

H&M

I've been looking for a studded bag in this sort of shade for a while now, so when I spied this in the sale I was really happy. It's such a good size and will be perfect for the spring/summer. The My Little Pony t-shirt is something I'm sure a lot of people won't like but I was obsessed with this show when I was younger and it's such a pretty mint shade! I actually think it looks really sweet with this polkadot high-waisted skirt too.

Primark

Another bag, woops. At least this one is smaller and more suitable for long days out when I don't want to break my arm. The last pair of sunglasses I bought from Primark were actually a little bit too big for my head and kept slipping down my nose but these new ones are perfect. I love the slight silver detail.

Lush

I've never bought any of the shampoos or conditioners from Lush before, as a lot of them don't appeal to me smell-wise. But this one has grown on me already and really leaves me hair feeling silky soft.

Top & skirt | H&M

Hey lovelies, wow two outfit posts in a row. I didn't think I'd ever be organised enough again to get to that stage. I wore this to attend the Scottish blogger event at Zen Lifestyle. The sun had slightly come out so I was in the mood to wear some light colours. This is one of my favourite skirts ever, even if I do kind of resemble a picnic table.

I had a great evening in the beautiful salon, browsing the products and chatting away to such nice bloggers. I also came away with a cute little goody bag.

The products I received were from the Murad Environmental Shield range. One of them was a full size tube of the Essential-C Cleanser which smells of mandarins. I'm really looking forward to using this as it says it's great for dehydrated skin. I also received little sample sizes of the Essential-C Day Moisture and Eye Cream. I'll be sure to do a review once I've tried them out.
